This year four members passed the BBKA Basic Assessment,
the first step in improving beekeeping skills beyond the introductory course. The assessment is practical, not written. It involves frame building, and opening and
examining a hive, while answering questions asked by the assessor. Congratulations to all four members. Hopefully others will be encouraged to follow
suit.
